LAW3051   Law Reform Practice   (20 credits)

Year Running: 2018/2019
Credit level: F6

Description

In this module, students will produce a real-life response to a consultation issued by a law reform agency. The first two weeks of the module will provide formal learning about law reform processes; thereafter, the students will develop in classes and in independent work a formal response to a live consultation, for submission to the agency for consideration in coming to its recommendations. The module would teach, in addition to detailed research and analytical skills and a deepened understanding of the relevant area of law, the ability, working collaboratively to engage creatively with reform at a policy level.
